What we do
Envisage offers a professional, high quality, comprehensive landscape design and build service.
From your initial discussion with us, we will guide you through the garden design process, advise on materials, costs, navigate the maze of Latin plant names, and deliver the completed landscaping project on budget.
Our Designers have extensive horticultural experience, supported by sound training in landscape design principles and over 30 years practical working knowledge in the landscaping and construction of gardens.
Your garden will be built by experienced teams to ensure a high quality finish. Our landscapers are skilled in ground-works, brick and stone work, paving and carpentry, supported by specialists if required, and then trained horticulturists will plant up your garden.
Envisage can assist you with planning permission applications if needed. And if your project requires a qualified tree surgeon or a structural engineer, we can engage them as appropriate.
The joint aim of our Designers and Landscapers is to help you achieve your landscaping project as smoothly and effectively as possible.
Our design team does not have a particular 'style'. We listen to you, the client, taking note of how you want to enjoy your outdoor spaces. The garden should complement both your lifestyle and your house, look comfortable in its immediate setting and blend harmoniously with the surrounding landscape.
Our Landscape Design service can either be a stand-alone appointment where we offer a one-off hourly paid consultation, a purely design service from survey to contractual drawings, or can form part of our most popular 'start to finish' complete design and build service. For a further explanation of these different design routes, please see our guide to The Design and Build Process.
Our award-winning Designers are fully qualified Landscape Architects or Horticulturists, trained in land surveying and landscape design. They have been designing and constructing both public and private gardens in Northern England, the West Midlands and the South West since 1984.
Our Designers have Honours Degrees in Landscape Architecture or Horticulture, and have a broad range of experience with fruit, glasshouse crops, hardy nursery stock (trees and shrubs), turf management, historical and horticultural research. We have worked on landscapes of all eras and sizes, so we are confident that we can produce the finish that you're looking for.
At Envisage, we have our own in-house team of qualified and dedicated professional hard- and soft-landscaping experts. Our garden construction teams are highly skilled craftsmen with many years’ experience; bricklayers, natural stone workers, carpenters and horticulturists, who posses the abilities to build a beautiful landscape for you. Our clients have been delighted with the gardens and public spaces that we have produced over the years since 1984.
Our hand picked partners are available for more specialist work, for example; bespoke iron railings, mains electricity integrated garden lighting, extensive networks of irrigation, or fencing.
We welcome the opportunity to tender for design-only, design & build, or build-only (if you are already in possession of plans that you wish to have implemented) domestic or public realm contracts. Please do get in touch if you would like us to tender for your project.
We have built 20 medal-winning show stands, including being awarded the "Most Creative Exhibit" trophy at RHS Malvern 2012, so we are able to offer our services to those wishing to have a show garden designed and/or built for promotions or charitable causes. Please do get in touch if you wish to explore this option.
The correct selection, establishment and care of plants is the backbone of any successful landscape design. Our Designers use their expert horticultural knowledge to create beautiful, living works of art that will bloom year-on-year; delivering riots of colour or soothing backdrops for our clients to enjoy.
We encourage our clients to get as involved with as much of the design of their gardens as they feel comfortable with; our Designers will always consult with you to ensure that you are getting the colours and textures that suit your personal tastes.
We can supply you with the plants that you require as we source all of our plants from our own nursery or from specialist growers across the country for rare species or exclusive varieties that you can't find in a garden centre! We also offer you the services of our planting team who can undertake the labour-intensive task for you of replanting a border or an entire garden.
We also offer one-off horticultural consultations for personal advice. If you are finding that your existing garden design is looking a little 'sad' and in need of freshening up, then please do get in touch to enquire about our Garden Visits where one of our horticulturists will be able to give expert advice on-site at your location. It may be that your garden requires something as straightforward as pruning, or some more specialist planting design advice to achieve the effect that you're looking for.
Too often we see gardens that have been beautifully designed and planted, then 'let go' over subsequent years. We strongly advise our clients to enlist the help of a skilled landscape maintenance team to ensure that their investment is managed correctly.
Envisage's Landscape Maintenance team can offer you a year-round or one-off garden maintenance service to prevent your property loosing it's luster.
So much more than just gardeners, our Horticultural Technicians are skilled horticulturists with the knowledge and ability to undertake complex and sensitive plant cultivation techniques at the appropriate time of year. Plants are living beings, and you need to feel secure that they are in safe hands.
Existing and new clients are welcome to make use of our Maintenance Team, weather you have had a garden designed by us or not.
One-off garden clean-ups or regular maintenance appointments are available.
The Design and Build Process
We follow the recognised industry standard method for designing and costing a landscape project. Once you initiate the process, we make the rest happen for you.
The same process is followed, be it for a town courtyard or a 10 acre country garden, but it is flexible and can be tailored to your requirements.
